Staying in the family home

A widowed grandmother whom I met, had lived in the same house for 35 years. Her pension income just covered her living expenses, so, over the years, the house had fallen into disrepair.

She had considered moving, but really did not want to, as the family home held all her precious memories, and she could not imagine closing the front door for the last time.

I arranged an equity release mortgage to provide not only the money for the necessary home improvements, but also for a much-needed holiday, and for some occasional gardening help, and to provide additional funds for any financial emergencies.

She and her family now at last have peace of mind, knowing that the lady can remain comfortably in her own home for the rest of her days.
