As a family man, with three children and two grandchildren, I understand all too well the enormous financial pressures on each generation. I am sure this perspective enables me to empathise all the more with my clients, to bear in mind their needs and their goals at all times, and to source for them the very best financial plan.
I have been in the financial services industry since 1979, starting at the age of 18 as an insurance agent for Royal London Mutual Insurance, moving to Aviva in 1992 where I eventually specialised in equity release. I am a qualified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a member of the Society of Mortgage Professionals.
I think I am a friendly, sociable person: I play in Woodfalls Band, one of the premier brass bands in the country; I help out at my local church; and my professional life very much revolves around doing all that I can to ensure my clients’ financial security and peace of mind. In fact, I often become friends with my clients.
“Just wanted to put in writing my thanks again for the help and advice that you provided to both myself and my Mum when we came to see you recently. The advice you gave allowed my Mum to see that there was a light at the end of the tunnel and that she didn't necessarily have to move out of the family home she had spent her working life trying to pay for, you explained everything to her in a language that she could understand and the options available to her. On Mum deciding to go ahead with equity release you went the extra mile for her in sorting out the paperwork and pushing it through as quickly as possible. With your help Mum is well on the way to being completely up to date and despite her initial misgivings about equity release (due to the bad press it received a while ago) is completely happy with this way forward and I would recommend anyone thinking of equity release as an option to speak to you to get the facts. Thanks Kevin. ”
