About Kevin Woods

Kevin Woods, Equity Release Specialist

There are many financial experts, so why come to me? I think – I hope – that I combine professionalism with an ability to put people at their ease. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping people – making dreams come true when they thought they were impossible, or removing financial obstacles that they thought were intractable. I suppose the most revealing testimony to that is that so many of my clients have become personal friends.

Family man

As a family man, with three children and two grandchildren, I understand all too well the enormous financial pressures on each generation. I am sure this perspective enables me to empathise all the more with my clients, to bear in mind their needs and their goals at all times, and to source for them the most suitable equity release plan.

Financial man

I have been in the financial services industry since 1979, starting at the age of 18 as an insurance agent for Royal London Mutual Insurance, moving to Aviva in 1992 where I eventually specialised in equity release. I am a qualified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a member of the Society of Mortgage Professionals.

Friendly man

I think I am a friendly, sociable person: I play in Woodfalls Band, one of the premier brass bands in the country; I help out at my local church; and my professional life very much revolves around doing all that I can to ensure my clients’ financial security and peace of mind. In fact, I often become friends with my clients.

“I found Kevin to be very warm and friendly and his knowledge and kind manner gave me confidence that the advice he was giving me was genuine. Releasing some of the equity from my home was in my opinion a sensible way to sort out my mortgage dilemma and I am happy with both the service I received from Kevin and the product he recommended. Even with the Covid-19 restrictions, I was very happy with the service I received, and I would happily recommend Kevin to anyone considering releasing equity from their property.”

Equity release will reduce the value of your estate and may also affect your entitlement to means-tested benefits. You should always think carefully before securing a loan against your home.

Unless you decide to go ahead, our service is completely free of charge as our usual advice fee of 1.99% of the amount released would only be payable on completion of a plan, subject to a minimum advice fee of £1499.

A lifetime mortgage is the most popular form of equity release, and is a loan secured against your home that’s typically repaid when you pass away or go into long-term care.
